Pentakem C.C. opened its doors to business in 1997 when a nitch in the anti-corrosion market appeared. Several companies both in the EU & Southern African regions expressed their needs to replace oils as the coating of choice to prevent automotive & steel components from corrosion. Oils are starting to lose favour as they are difficult to keep dirt free, and also meant that numerous house keeping methods had to be employed. Oils also do not dry hence Pentakem developed the oil-free Corrogard® range consisting of Corrogard® 56 & Corrogard® 81. As our involvement with the automotive companies grew, so did our product range to accommodate various improvements and expanded applications.
 

Our strength lies in our flexibility to develop & prove products faster than any of our competitors while redefining the chemistry norms associated with our industry. Part of our service includes advanced technical support, simplified application for ease of implementation & safer products for both worker and environment. Our crowning achievements are our biodegradable (most of the range) Corrogard® range & nitrite free VCI products.
