Corrogard® 56/81

Corrogard® 56: This is the original formulation that started the range. Combined VCI and Contact corrosion inhibitors formulated on a water base, making it safer and more ecologically friendly than oils & greases etc. Diluted in water it has the unique property of leaving a thin protective coating that dries and then further, thanks to the incorporation of Pentakem’s own VCI technology, protects any areas in close proximity that were missed by the coating, This has been used for many years in the automotive component industries, replacing solvent-cut back oils and, apart from drastically reducing costs, assists in cleaning up of the work area.

 1.       Corrogard® 56 is used as a dilution in water ensuring economical use with consequent excellent cost performance.

2.       Corrogard® 56 has been specifically designed to protect ferrous metals after cleaning, no need to oil or grease.

3.       Corrogard® 56 utilises only raw materials that are found in the FDA CFR21 list hence it’s safe and clean working nature.

4.       Corrogard® 56 can be applied by conventional spray equipment as a rapid application system or be implemented in the works process so as to be “in line,” with the assembly.

5.       Corrogard® 56 is extremely economical as it is diluted in tap water at dosage rates from 8 % - 12% depending on application.

Corrogard® 81: An addition to the range formulated specially for customers who primarily require a contact corrosion inhibitor. Corrogard® 81 is also water based bringing along all the same benefits of a cleaner application, cleaner work area while saving money and improving protection of the clients’ process and final product. This product has also been used for many years in industry providing major manufacturers with excellent corrosion protection. The product does not contain oils or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), which pertain to emission regulations of the Environment Protection Act.
